I am extremely honored and grateful to be the Deputy Principal of King David Academy. Let me take this opportunity to thank King David Academy’s Management (Board of Directors) for providing me with the opportunity to serve the community here in Rwanda.

At King David Academy, we strive to provide high-quality education that inspires and empowers our students to be lifelong learners and productive members of society. At King David Academy, education is more than just cramming information into a child’s head. Our educational system caters to the individual needs of our students.

Education is more than just imparting knowledge for a future job; it is a lifelong process that fosters an understanding of moral and ethical values to guide one’s life in the right direction. As a parent, you want the best for your child, and we are honored to collaborate with you to ensure that they are equipped to face future challenges. Parents, students, and school officials form a team, and our efforts must complement one another.

At King David Academy, we focus on the total development of our students by involving them in scholastic, co-scholastic, and Christian values, all while maintaining a high level of discipline. I am confident that this will assist our children in realizing, comprehending, and exploring their potential. To accomplish this, parents and school officials must collaborate to instill certain values in students. “A sound body leads to a sound mind.” Allow our children to grow physically and mentally, guided by God’s wisdom.

“If a plant is carefully nurtured by a gardener, it will become good, and produce better fruits.” Therefore, children must be given a good training from their earliest childhood. We are here for the same. I am sure that our students of today, tomorrow will carry forward the Motto of Trust in God and Toil entrusted in their hands at King David Academy.

Our school ensures success for all students by providing an enriching, child-centered, balanced, and structured International and National curricula such as Cambridge, BTEC, and National Program (REB), as well as a whole-school focus on students’ welfare that focuses on the positive recognition of students’ achievements. Teachers at King David Academy are highly qualified and experienced educators who are dedicated to enhancing each student’s learning experience through quality instruction and guidance that is tailored to the individual child’s needs. Teachers work hard to provide students with differentiated support that addresses each student’s specific academic and social needs.

Personally, I believe that an education system that fosters the child’s imagination is superior to one that does not. New ideas are born in the imagination, and progress is made possible. “Imagination is more important than knowledge” because knowledge focuses on what we already know, whereas imagination propels individuals and cultures forward.

I want parents to know that my door is always open to discuss any concerns, questions, or ideas they may have about their children’s education. I welcome you all to an outstanding learning community where everyone strives for excellence.

We believe that parents are their children’s first and most important teachers. Parents play an important role in their children’s education. We enthusiastically welcome all of our parents to take an active role in their children’s education and to be active participants in our school life. Get to know the staff, especially the child’s teachers, and offer to help where you can so that we can all work together in the best interests of all. I am excited to collaborate with our parent community to help their children succeed in school. We always strive to foster strong parent-teacher relationships, which are critical to our students’ academic success.

We truly have a fantastic school, with a supportive and involved parent community, dedicated and highly skilled staff, excellent resources and buildings, and the best students to work with. We are confident that with the assistance of all stakeholders and their ongoing support, we will be able to take our school to the next level of excellence. We will continue to collaborate with you in the best interests of our beloved students and our community as a whole.
